Songwriting
Dianne has written songs for most of her life and is a long-time member of SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada). One of her favourite collaborations has been writing the music for Long Road Back, a full-length album of original songs from recording artist, lyricist and dear friend Charlotte Moore.

In the late 1980s, an association with BMG Music led to several of Dianne’s pop songs being shopped around the industry. Co-writing with multiple award-winning recording artist Kelita Haverland, saw some of their collaborations make it to country radio and television. A co-write with bassist/producer Mark Shannon led to a 3rd place win (from over 1400 entries) in MIX 99.9 Radio’s Annual Songwriting Contest. Dianne has also recorded some of her original tunes as a solo artist and with her duo partner Jean Greig. Here are a few tracks, including one produced by Beau Dixon for a Christmas album benefitting a local shelter.

Dianne has also composed and arranged pieces for a mandolin orchestra, theatre cabarets, and original musicals.
Performance
Dianne is a multi-instrumentalist and singer; playing guitar, keyboards, and mandolin in several different groups. She is half of the duo Latchford & Greig, 1/4 of the McDonnel Street Gospel Quartet (MSGQ), and sings in the Convivio Chorus. She played in the Mandolin Society of Peterborough (MSOP) for 16 years and with the Mandobeatles quartet for several of MSOP’s concerts. Dianne was a founding member of classic rock/R&B cover band Full Circle, playing with them for 16 years, and with pop cover band Sweet Blindness for four years.

Lessons
For many years Dianne enjoyed sharing her love of music with her students. She is a member of the Royal Conservatory of Music and taught mainly piano and guitar, but occasionally offered beginner level mandolin, voice, and theory. She has now retired from teaching.
